What Is IP Convergence?
IP convergence is the grouping of a company’s different communication channels into a single IP (Internet Protocol) channel. Typically, companies use different service providers for their Internet access and phone system. They also use three separate channels to carry voice, data from the internal network, and data via the Internet. These different channels each have their own bandwidth, regardless of their usage levels. By implementing an IP convergence solution, companies combine these channels into one, and traffic is managed based on priority between voice, data and the internal network. This channel integration is part of what leads to such significant cost savings for the end user.Download DataSheet
